inMy professor told me to always check the spoil heap first
That's solid advice that applies way beyond archaeology. People tend to overlook the discarded stuff, the literal or metaphorical trash heap, in all sorts of fields. It's often where the most honest, unfiltered story is hiding.

inAppreciation post: My old knee kicker finally gave out on a job in Springfield
Ugh, tell me about it, @phoenix_singh25. I got a solid eight seasons out of mine before that pin went. Honestly, keeping the linkage greased is the only thing that really stretches its life.

inTIL a trick about brisket from a guy in Lockhart
Wait you wrapped at 175? That's crazy early man, no wonder it dried out.

inQuestion about a bad pour day at the plant in Toledo
We ran a 3000 ton aluminum holding furnace at the old Kaiser plant that would eat through a lining in under six months. The real trick is checking the cold face temp with a laser gun every single shift, not just on inspection day. You get a spike of even 50 degrees on that shell, you know you've got maybe two heats left before it goes. Ever think about adding that to the operator checks?

inWarning: I tried using a $40 LED mask from an online store for a month versus my clinic's professional panel, and the difference in my client's acne results was scary.
My old clinic used to sell those cheaper masks as add-ons. Seeing side by side photos from a real treatment plan made me stop that practice fast. The power output and wavelength consistency just isn't there for the budget gear.
