inThree years ago I bought a 'rare' philodendron from a pop-up market in Tampa, and it's still spreading mites to my other plants.
I get what you mean about it feeling like giving up. I had a fern that looked totally dead, just a sad brown stump. I kept watering it on a strict schedule and talking to it like a weirdo, and it finally pushed out a new frond after months. That little green shoot felt like winning a war.

inI finally saw a fan get kicked out of a con for being too intense
Honestly, the only thing he was ruining was everyone else's good time.

inSpent $300 on a thermal camera for finding shorts, and it just paid for itself in one job.
That alcohol trick saved my old Xbox when nothing else would work.

inMy sourdough starter finally doubled after I stopped using tap water
Guess my plants are just drama queens then, they throw a fit if I look at them wrong. Makes you wonder what else we're missing, right?

inA guy at the coffee shop told me he still uses a flip phone
Flip phones feel like a weird flex more than a real change. It's a nice idea but most people just can't stick with it, like patel.christopher's sister showed. Missing maps and a camera is a huge deal in real life. This seems like a small group making a point, not some big shift back to the past.
