I finally realized my "viral" cleaning hack was ruining my countertops
Last summer I kept seeing those videos about using bleach and baking soda to make a paste that cleans everything. I tried it on my laminate counters and thought it was amazing. Took me about 4 months to notice the finish starting to peel off near the sink. My neighbor who used to work remodeling pointed it out when she saw me scrubbing. She said the combo was way too harsh and basically sanded down the seal. I felt dumb but at least I caught it before the whole kitchen got wrecked. Anyone else fall for a cleaning trick that did more harm than good?
