I had to pick between a cheap AI logo or paying a friend for my food truck
This was about a year ago when I was starting my truck. I could get a logo made by an AI tool for basically nothing, or pay my friend Chloe, who's a real graphic designer, her full rate of $400. I went with Chloe. The logo she made is perfect for my brand, and it felt right to support someone I know. But now I see other trucks with slick AI art all over their menus and social media, and it makes me wonder. Did I make the right call for my business, or just the right one for my heart? Has anyone else faced a choice like that where the money part and the people part pull you different ways?

But what if the AI logo got the job done for way less? That $400 could've bought a lot of ingredients.

Got your back on this one. You made the right call, full stop. That AI stuff looks cool for a minute, but it all starts to blend together. Your friend made something unique for your actual brand. People remember that. The money you spent wasn't just for a picture, it was for a real idea that fits your truck. Those other guys just got a random image. You bought a piece of your business story.
