Bought those silicone air fryer liners with the little holes - total mistake

I spent $12 on a pack of 6 from Amazon and the holes don't actually let enough air through, so my chicken came out soggy every time. Has anyone found a liner that actually works right?

Yeah those liners with tiny holes are basically just paper shapes. Your chicken was soggy because they trap steam under there. Try the solid perforated silicone ones from sixdifferentkits, they got bigger holes and actually work for crisping. Cost a few bucks more but worth it.

Yeah that "basically just paper shapes" line hit too close to home. I bought a whole pack of those tiny hole liners cause they were cheap and my chicken came out like it was boiled. Felt like a fool. Switched to the silicone ones with bigger holes and suddenly my food actually gets crispy. Still burnt the first batch of fries though. Guess some things you just gotta learn the hard way.

...and honestly I'm not sure it is. I mean yeah those cheap liners aren't great but I've used them plenty of times and my chicken came out fine. Not restaurant crispy but not boiled either. @evan543 it sounds like you might have had your air fryer too full or the temp too low. I use the paper ones for things like frozen pizza rolls or fish sticks and they work good enough. The silicone ones are nice but I'm not convinced people need to throw out their whole liner system over one bad batch of chicken. Sometimes it's just user error not the product.
