I finally figured out the best way to get crispy tofu without it sticking to the basket

Okay, so I've been trying to make crispy tofu in my air fryer for weeks. Every single time, it would stick to the basket like glue, and I'd lose half of it trying to scrape it off. I tried spraying it with oil, using parchment paper liners, everything. Then, I saw a comment on a cooking blog that said to toss the tofu in a little cornstarch before adding any oil. I was sure it would just make a mess, but I gave it a shot. I pressed a block of extra firm tofu for 30 minutes, cubed it, tossed it in a bowl with two tablespoons of cornstarch, then added a tiny bit of avocado oil spray. I cooked it at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, shaking halfway. It came out perfectly crispy and not a single piece stuck. It was a total game changer. Has anyone else found a different coating trick that works better?

My cousin swears by potato starch for an even crispier crust.

Wow, I always thought cornstarch would make it gummy but that actually sounds perfect.
