Found a fix for those pesky cabin pressure leaks on 737s

Was troubleshooting a slow bleed leak in Orlando last Thursday and the manual had me chasing my tail for hours. Turns out the door seal track had a tiny piece of debris that was barely visible. Used a borescope camera I picked up for $120 off Amazon and spotted it in 5 minutes. Any other mechanics here used a cheap borescope to find hidden issues?

Four hundred and twenty dollars? I gotta be honest, I nearly fell out of my chair reading that. For a borescope that costs less than a decent set of wrenches to pay for itself in five minutes, that's almost too good to be true. I've been doing this for almost twenty years now, and I still remember when a simple inspection scope would set you back a good eight hundred or more. You must have felt like you won the lottery when you saw that debris sitting there clear as day on the screen. I bet the local parts counter guys would be embarrassed to know they couldn't spot something a cheap Amazon tool found in no time.

$120? That's cheaper than my deductible when I inevitably drop the damn thing.

Borescopes are great but check the warranty on that thing if you drop it.
