inAppreciation post: I thought those 'smart' diagnostic apps were just a gimmick for new techs
Nah, that's on you for not doing basic checks first lol. A smart tech verifies with a multimeter or basic test before diving into a 3 hour rabbit hole. Blaming the app is just an excuse for skipping the fundamentals.

inThat Kevin Hart interview about his old tweets really bothered me
Whoa, wait - three months of apologizing? That's wild.

inDropped $300 on a phishing simulation tool that flagged my own password reset emails as threats
Depends on the size of your IT team. If it's just one guy who's also the office manager and part-time coffee runner, he probably doesn't have the hours to mess with network gear. Sometimes it's cheaper to pay a pro for two hours than have your own guy fumble through it for a week.

inMy drill chuck gave out mid-screw on a deck job last Tuesday
Man that's rough, having a chuck just lock up or break mid-project is the worst kind of luck. Had a similar thing happen with a jigsaw last year where the blade clamp just gave out halfway through cutting some plywood. Nothing worse than having to knock on a neighbor's door to borrow tools when you're already frustrated.

inPicked a slow ferry over a cheap flight in Thailand and it changed everything
Is that the one that chugs along the coast past all those little islands? I took it last summer and ended up loving every minute of it, even though it took twice as long as the fast one. Had a solid bleary-eyed conversation with an old guy about fishing spots the whole way, wouldn't trade that for anything.
