Used to think timing hacks were BS until I tried posting at 9pm on a Tuesday

I was skeptical about all those posts saying you gotta post at specific hours to beat the algorithm. Kept thinking good content will find its audience regardless of when you hit publish. Then I tested it for 3 weeks straight back in February. My usual 2pm posts were getting maybe 200 reach but the 9pm Tuesday slot got over 1,200 on average. It was a pretty specific niche too, just talking about old photography gear. I still think the algorithm is weird but the timing thing actually checks out for me now. Has anyone else noticed big shifts based on posting days like Thursday versus Monday?

Respectfully, isn't it just as likely your Tuesday content was stronger than whatever you dropped on the other days? Seems like a small sample size to rule out the content itself being the real variable.

Wait, wasn't my "cat memes vs serious advice" test scientifically sound?

Dude the cat memes vs serious advice test was actually pretty interesting until you started comparing completely different audience types. @jake747 has a point about sample size but I ran a similar test with camera reviews on a Monday versus Thursday and got way more traction on Monday mornings even though the content was basically the same. Funny how these little quirks end up making a real difference once you actually pay attention to them for more than a week.

Respectfully think the timing thing gets overblown sometimes. I've posted the same photo on different days and it flopped every time except one random Wednesday at 2am. Sometimes people just want to argue about variables instead of admitting luck plays a part too.
