I watched subbed and dubbed versions of the same episode back to back, never doing that again

So I finally decided to compare the sub and dub for Attack on Titan season 4 part 2 last night. The dubbed version changed whole lines of dialogue, not just translations but the tone of what characters said. Eren sounded way more emotional in the sub, almost broken, while the dub made him sound like a generic angry guy. It totally shifted how I saw the scene, the sub gave me chills and the dub just fell flat. Has anyone else noticed major differences like that between versions?

Start asking which episode exactly you watched. I had a similar thing happen with the scene where Eren talks to Reiner in the basement. In the sub, Eren sounds hollow and tired like he's already given up on everything. The dub had him raising his voice and getting angry at Reiner, which totally missed the point that he's actually sympathizing with him in a weird way. Did you notice the same thing with the Kenny and Levi flashback scenes? Because I swear the sub made Levi sound way more vulnerable.

Sub vs dub is like live TV vs streaming, one has the real soul.
