My friend in Dallas got me to watch 'Odd Taxi' last month after I said I was bored with anime
Honestly, the way it builds its mystery through casual dialogue totally changed how I see writing in the medium. Has anyone else had a show completely flip a genre for them like that?

Odd Taxi got me digging into older stuff too. Ended up watching "The Big O" on a whim, that old mecha noir show. It's all shadows and people talking in empty mansions, totally different from the giant robot fights I expected. Kinda made me see how you can hide clues in the mood of a scene, not just the plot.

So what's your new favorite mystery show now?

Honestly? I've been stuck on this weird British show "The Capture". It's all about deepfake videos and how you can't trust footage anymore. Makes you question every security camera clip you see. It's like what adam_baker said about mood hiding clues, but with tech. The mystery isn't who did it, but if what you're seeing even happened at all.
