Took me 10 rewatches to finally watch the dub of my favorite show
I used to skip dubs entirely, thought they were for people who couldn't read fast. Then last month I tried the dub of an old 90s mecha series on a road trip through Ohio and the voice actor for the rival completely sold me on a character I'd hated for years. Anyone else given a dub a second shot after writing it off for that long?

Took me 30 years to admit I can't read subs without pausing. Dub saved my marriage.

My grandma watches everything with subs and somehow never misses a single word... meanwhile I paused the last episode of a show 14 times just to read one conversation. My husband finally banned subtitles and now I just nod along like I know what's happening. Honestly, the dub people are the smart ones. I'm just out here pretending I'm bilingual when really I'm just lost in my own living room.
