Hit 500 tree removals last month without a single close call

I counted up my jobs from the last 5 years and realized I hit 500 tree removals last month. Not one rigging failure or dropped limb on my watch. That stat hit me hard because I remember my first 50 removals I had like 3 close calls. Anyone else keep a count of their clean runs?

That "clean runs" mindset translates to how I drive too - never had an accident because I stay alert every second.

Respectfully gotta push back on that. Being alert every second sounds GREAT in theory but people say that all the time right up until they rear-end someone in a rainstorm. @troychen asked a real question because years of clean driving matter WAY more than how you FEEL about your focus. I've known guys who bragged about never having accidents and then got T-boned at a four-way stop because someone else ran a light. You can be the most alert driver on the planet but you can't control what the other guy does on his phone or after three beers. Clean runs in the CAVE are controlled conditions, but the road has drunk drivers and blown tires and sudden fog. I'd rather say "never had an accident" after 25 years behind the wheel than after just thinking I'm really focused.

Yeah but @troychen, the thing is, clean runs in a cave still prove you can react fast and make good calls every time even if outside stuff happens later. It's like muscle memory for your brain, that kinda focus carries over no matter what the road throws at you.
