That trick with aluminum foil on the ironing board actually fixed my wrinkled tablecloth problem

I had this big linen tablecloth I needed for a family dinner last Sunday, and it was a wrinkled mess from sitting in the closet for months. Normally I'd just run the iron over it a few times and hope for the best, but the folds were really set in deep. A buddy from work mentioned putting a sheet of aluminum foil under the ironing board cover to reflect heat back up. Figured it sounded dumb but gave it a shot since I had nothing to lose. So I laid a big piece of foil shiny side up under the cover and pressed the tablecloth like normal. It took maybe ten minutes instead of the usual thirty, and the creases came out way smoother. Anyone else tried this trick or got another weird hack for stubborn wrinkles?

Huh, that's actually pretty clever. I bet the foil trick would work great for getting sharp creases in pants too, not just flattening stuff out.

You actually iron your pants enough to worry about creases?

Singh Harper's got a point about pants - have you tried folding them with the foil still under the board to get both sides crisped at once?
