A flat tire on a 2008 Civic in the rain made me rethink my whole approach to roadside repairs.

I was helping a friend on the side of Route 9 near Albany, just a simple flat. It was pouring, and my cheap plastic flashlight died. I had to use my phone light while kneeling in a puddle. One guy at our shop says we should always carry a proper waterproof light and knee pads for these calls, even if it seems extra. Another thinks it's overkill for a simple tire change. What's your minimum kit for a wet weather roadside assist?

Yeah I used to think that was overkill too, but after a night like that I keep a good light and knee pads in my truck now lol.

Honestly, same here after that muddy roadside job.

Did you hear about my buddy who got soaked fixing a flat in a storm?

What's the point of saving space if you're miserable doing the job? Waterproof light and knee pads are a must now.
