Serious question, did that outsourcing guy on a webinar actually save anyone money or just cost me $4,200?
Back in March I sat through a free webinar from some B2B outsourcing firm out of Dallas, and the guy running it kept saying to move all my admin work offshore and I would cut costs by 40 percent in 90 days. He had a whole slide about it and he seemed like he knew his stuff, so I signed a 6 month contract for $4,200 total to hand off my scheduling, invoicing and vendor follow ups. Six weeks in, my invoices were going out late, two vendors stopped replying to me, and I had to redo almost everything myself at night. When I called to complain, the account rep just said onboarding takes time and pushed me to upgrade to the premium tier. I finally killed the contract last week and ate the rest of the money, and my old part time helper in town does it better for less. If you are a small B2B shop and someone promises offshore admin savings, ask them for 3 local references first and actually call them. Did anyone here get an outsourcing deal that worked, or is this just how it always goes?
