That $1,200 CRM software I bought for my small crew

I run a small property management outfit and thought I needed a fancy CRM to handle tenant requests. Spent $1,200 on a yearly subscription for this thing called Basecamp or some similar name. Turns out my team hated it because it was too complicated, and we just went back to using a shared Excel sheet. Has anyone else tried expensive B2B tools that ended up being a total waste for a small business like mine?

Tried a similar thing with Freshdesk for my small team and it was a total disaster. My guys are all about speed and simplicity, so we switched to Trello with a simple template for tracking requests. It's free and way easier because we just drag and drop tasks into columns like "New" "In Progress" and "Done." Saved us so much headache and nobody needed training for it.

So what kind of stuff did your guys struggle with most on Freshdesk, @linda_reed? Was it the setup or just using it day to day? I've heard from a few people that the interface can be a little cluttered for small teams... like too many buttons and options that just get in the way. That drag and drop method sounds really clean though, especially if you're already using Trello for other stuff.
