Hit 37 empty plastic pots behind my shed yesterday

I was clearing out that gap between the shed and the fence. Kept thinking I'd find a snake or something. Nope. Just a mountain of black nursery pots from the last 4 years. I pulled out 37 of them and still had room for more under the loose board. How do they even get back there?

Bet you have mice or voles stashing them in there. Found a similar pile behind my compost bin once, turns out a family of field mice was dragging them under the shed to nest in. They love the plastic because it holds warmth. Little critters probably think they are building a cozy condo with all those pots. Might want to check for chew marks on the ones that are back there. If you see gnawed edges, you know you have some furry neighbors helping you garden.

Mice don't really drag plastic pots around like that, they'd be chewing through them for nesting material instead.

Little critters probably think they are building a cozy condo" - meanwhile I can't even keep my own pots organized.
