My neighbor in Phoenix saved his whole shed from termites with a $5 bag of diatomaceous earth.
I mean, I was about to call an exterminator for my own storage unit after seeing the mud tubes, but he told me to just sprinkle the powder around the base and under the floorboards, and idk, maybe it's just me but after 3 weeks the activity completely stopped.

Guess the termites got the bill for the professional service and decided to budget cut themselves. Classic move. I love when a five dollar bag of dirt beats a five hundred dollar exterminator visit. Makes you wonder what else we're overcomplicating.

Sometimes the simple fix is just luck though. A pro brings know-how that stops it from coming back. Paying for real skill isn't always overcomplicating things.
