PSA: Don't waste $200 on those 'weatherproof' plastic sheds

I bought a cheap plastic shed from a big box store last spring and it's already falling apart. Spent $200 on this thing thinking it would keep my lawn gear dry through the winter. After one good storm the roof cracked and the walls started bowing out. The locking mechanism broke off after 3 opens. Now my mower is sitting outside getting rusty. I should have just built a simple wooden shed from scratch for a bit more money. Has anyone else had luck with those metal sheds instead?

Mason here, yeah that locking mechanism breaking after 3 opens happened to me too, total junk.

Exactly three opens for me too. I thought I was just unlucky but now I see it's a feature. I swear my luck is so bad I could win a contest for worst timing. Like if there was an award for "most likely to have a cheap lock fail right when you need it most" I'd be the hall of fame inductee. At this point I'm just glad it didn't break with my stuff inside, because that would be the icing on the cake. Guess I'll stick to bags that close with a zipper and hope those don't fail the same way.
