Saw the coolest shed setup at my neighbor's garage sale in Tempe
They had this old metal shed they turned into a proper workshop, with pegboard on every wall and a clear plastic roof panel for light. I mean, it was so simple but it made me realize I could do way more with my own space than just shove boxes in it. Anyone in a hot climate like Arizona tried something similar with their shed to keep it from turning into an oven?

Yeah, the heat is the real killer with those setups. Mileslane is right about the foil, that stuff works. It reminds me of my cousin who tried to grow orchids in a shed out in Glendale, total disaster before he added shade cloth and a tiny swamp cooler. He ended up with a weirdly pleasant plant nook that's still too hot for people. Makes you wonder if the goal is a workshop or just keeping your stuff from melting.

So that reflective foil @mileslane mentioned, was it the kind with the bubble wrap inside? I'm trying to picture how your cousin attached the shade cloth, did he just staple it right over the roof or build a frame to keep an air gap?

That plastic roof panel is a solid idea for light, but in Tempe that thing would cook you. A friend used a reflective bubble foil insulation on his shed roof and it dropped the temp a ton.
