Burned 3 batches of croissants before realizing my oven runs 25 degrees hot

I was at a bake sale in Portland last spring and kept wondering why my croissants were always dark on the bottom. Talked to this old baker who runs a shop downtown and he told me to get an oven thermometer. Turns out my oven is 25 degrees hotter than what I set it to. Now I adjust every recipe down by that much. Has anyone else dealt with a messed up oven temp messing with your baking?

My old GE oven was 35 degrees off and ruined ALL my bread for months.

@emma_wells83 that 35 degrees off probably saved your bread from burning, sounds like a feature not a bug.
