That customer who asked me to 'fix' her vegan cake with bacon fat
Had a woman come into my shop last Tuesday with a vegan chocolate cake she baked herself, looked like a brick. She said it was too dry and asked if I could just 'mix in some bacon grease' to fix it. I told her I'd rather eat the dry cake than ruin it like that, and she stormed out. Anyone else get requests that make you question humanity?

Did the fish sauce make them taste weird too?" - Oh man, that's exactly what I was thinking when I read your story. Fish sauce in vegan cupcakes? That's a whole new level of wrong. I gotta ask, what was the logic there? Did your friend's aunt think fish sauce would add some umami or was she just trying to prank someone? Because adding bacon grease to a vegan cake is one thing, but fish sauce in cupcakes sounds like she was actively trying to ruin them on purpose. I really want to know if she had some weird recipe in mind or if she was just messing with you.
