Wasted $150 on a "pro" pair of thinning shears that were duller than my kitchen scissors

dude same thing happened to me last month. spent like $80 on a pair that were supposedly "professional grade" and they literally just bent my hair instead of cutting it. ended up using my old drugstore scissors and they work way better, feels like such a scam.

$80 and it couldn't even cut hair, sounds like you paid for fancy paperweights.

I mean, maybe it's just me but $80 for shears that literally cannot cut hair sounds kinda like user error. Did you check what steel they were made out of or the Rockwell hardness rating? I've bought cheap ones before and they sucked, but my $70 pair from a proper barber supply store cuts like butter after three years.
