Paid $400 for a heated floor and it was worth every penny

I remodeled my main bath in January and splurged on electric radiant heat mats under the tile. The floor stays warm even when the furnace kicks off, and my wife stopped complaining about cold feet. Has anyone tried the hydronic systems instead of electric for bigger bathrooms?

Oh totally, I did the same thing last year and now I can't imagine stepping onto cold tile ever again.

Man, you're speaking my language. That cold tile feels like ice cubes on your feet. I had to grab a cheap fuzzy mat from the store just to survive winter mornings. @hannahcraig now I actually look forward to getting out of bed for a bit. It's a small change but it makes the whole morning better.
