TIL a 3 dollar putty knife from Harbor Freight saved my tile job

Grout haze wouldn't come off after sealing, so I scraped it with the flat edge. Anyone know a better way to avoid that haze in the first place?

Try wiping the haze with a damp microfiber cloth before it fully dries next time. Works way better than scraping after the fact.

Used to be a die-hard scraper, swore by it for years. Your tip about the damp cloth just saved me a ton of time and elbow grease. Always figured you had to let it set before dealing with it, but that just makes the job harder. Gave it a shot on my shower door this morning and the difference is night and day. Never going back to that old method.

Yeah, the damp cloth trick is solid, but you still gotta let the cleaner sit for a minute or two. Not long, just enough to break down the soap scum. If you wipe it immediately, you're mostly just moving the wet gunk around. Give it a brief soak, then wipe. That's the real sweet spot.

Right, @kelly.patricia nailed the timing on that.
