Switched to tubeless tires after a nasty flat on my commute last Tuesday
I was riding home in Seattle when my rear tube blew out at the worst spot on the Burke Gilman trail. After spending 20 minutes fixing it in the rain, I finally gave tubeless a shot and the sealant handled a small puncture on day two. Has anyone else found that tubeless is worth the mess or do you stick with tubes for reliability?

Does the sealant ever dry up and leave little rubber boogers inside your tires? I had a buddy who went tubeless and said after six months his tires sounded like maracas from all the dried sealant chunks rolling around.

Rain, flat, dark trail 20 minutes in? Seattle really does test your commitment to biking. Now you get to test your commitment to cleaning sealant off your frame.

Cleaning sealant off your frame" haha, I felt that one in my bones. Last month I hit a puddle on a gravel path that turned out to be three inches deep. Took me an hour with a rag and dish soap to get all that sticky white gunk off my downtube. Seattle really does demand a certain level of dedication to bike maintenance, not just the riding part. Gotta love how it keeps things interesting though.
