Cold water plunge hype finally clicked after 3 weeks of trying
I always thought the cold plunge stuff was just bro science, but my shoulder pain from sitting at a desk was getting bad. I started doing 2 minutes in 55 degree water every morning for 3 weeks. The inflammation in my left shoulder went down noticeably, and I stopped needing ibuprofen. Has anyone else stuck with it long enough to see real changes or did I just get lucky with timing?

55 degrees for 2 minutes is solid, I’ve noticed a lot of stuff like this where sticking with something boring for a few weeks is the only way it actually works.

Whoa wait, you stopped needing ibuprofen after 3 weeks of cold water? That's wild. I've been popping that stuff for my lower back for years and never thought a cold plunge could replace it. I've only heard of people saying it helps with soreness after workouts, not for desk job pain like that. I gotta admit, I'm kind of shocked it worked that fast for you. Maybe I should actually give this a real shot instead of just rolling my eyes at it.
