Unpopular opinion: I used to think cold plunges were just a fad until a guy at a truck stop in Nebraska showed me his blood work after 90 days of them

He pulled out his phone and showed me his LDL dropped 40 points and his resting heart rate went from 78 to 62, all from 3 minutes a day in a stock tank, and now I'm the one with a $60 inflatable kiddie pool in my garage asking if anyone else has seen real numbers like that from just cold water?

Wait, you're telling me a truck stop guy actually showed you his blood work? That's way more convincing than some influencer on Instagram. I'll admit, I used to think cold plunges were just another wellness scam for people with too much money and time. But when you see real numbers like that - LDL dropping 40 points and resting heart rate falling that much - it makes you wonder. I had a buddy who tried it for a month and said his joint pain went down too, though he didn't get his blood tested. Did you start doing it yourself yet?

Oh man, that's honestly the kind of story that sticks with you right? Like a random real person with nothing to sell just showing proof in a parking lot. I actually started doing cold showers a couple weeks ago after something similar happened with my uncle showing me his sleep tracker data. It's not fun at all but I already feel less sluggish in the mornings. My husband thinks I'm nuts standing in the backyard in February but hey if my labs look better next checkup I'll take the weird looks haha.
