Paid $60 for a fake blooper compilation DVD, got 90 minutes of ad breaks
Found this DVD at a flea market in Phoenix last month, seller swore it was original network outtakes. Turned out it was just a bunch of news clips with the logos blurred, half of them weren't even glitches. The worst part was every 5 minutes it cut to a car dealership commercial from 2009. I checked the back of the case later and the fine print said 'compilation may contain promotional content'. Anyone else get burned by these knockoff blooper reels at swap meets or is this just a Phoenix thing?

That "quality knockoff" bit reminds me of a bootleg I got once that had the same state fair commercial spliced in like 12 times, and my buddy swore it was a hidden message from the film crew. We watched the whole thing twice looking for codes and found nothing, just a guy named Gary selling corn dogs.

Wait, so the seller actually stuck around after you paid? Those flea market guys usually vanish the second cash changes hands. Did you pop it in right there or just trust the label? Also, 90 minutes of ads means they probably ripped this from some late night public access feed, which is oddly kinda impressive in a scammy way. The real question is if any of those "bloopers" had that fake laugh track layered over them, because that's the true mark of a quality knockoff.
