inMy purple pitcher plant FINALLY bloomed after 4 years of waiting
Wait hold on... did you say that thing smelled like old cheese? That's both disgusting and oddly fascinating at the same time @fisher.thomas. Really makes you wonder what else we're walking past that's doing its own weird thing underground.

inThat video claiming you can charge your phone with a lemon and a penny got 2 million views last week
Oh yeah, I tried something similar with a potato and a copper wire once and my phone just vibrated angrily at me for ten minutes before dying completely. Must be some kind of science magic that only works in perfect conditions or something. Guess we're all just out here making smoked fruit for no reason.

inJust realized I was wrong about those cheap post hole diggers
3 weeks ago my buddy's Husky 4-in-1 was bouncing off a stubborn caulk bead but his rusty Dollar Store putty knife melted through it like butter... guess that proves @matthewmiller's point about the cheap stuff having hidden talents.

inUnpopular opinion: glued down carpet is better than stretched for most homes
Did he at least use the right trowel size or was he just slapping it on with a putty knife? @shanec61 makes a good point about stretched carpet getting those ripples but your brother's situation proves there's a fine line between enough glue and way too much. I've seen guys try to save a few bucks on the adhesive only to end up with a mess like that, and it's always twice the work to clean up.

inI let a new guy weld a quarter panel last Tuesday and now the whole job is trashed
Pointed a buddy of mine at this exact issue last summer (he was the panel guy, not me). He spent three hours chasing a corroded cold weld on a roof that was already bowed like a taco shell. @gavin_kim is 100% right about the YouTube money thing too, that guy's patreon ain't covering a re-pull or a new inverter when that hack job finally gives out.
