The news anchor's fly was open for a full 3 minutes before someone slipped a note

This happened a few months ago while I was half-watching a local morning show. The guy was doing a serious segment about city budget cuts, and right there on the HD feed his zipper was just completely down. I noticed it about 10 seconds in and couldn't focus on a single word he said. The co-anchor kept glancing at the camera with this frozen smile, and I started wondering if the producer was asleep. After what felt like forever, a random hand slid a yellow sticky note onto the desk. He looked down, turned completely red, and then coughed and adjusted his jacket. The whole thing took like 3 minutes from start to finish, and I rewound it three times just to laugh. Has anyone else caught a blooper that made you question how many people are actually paying attention in that control room?

Oh man, I caught a classic one where the weather guy was doing a live shot from the beach and the wind totally caught his toupee. It lifted up like a flapjack and sat there crooked for a good two minutes while he kept pointing at the radar with a straight face. You could see the whole newsroom losing it because the anchor back in the studio was visibly biting her lip and her eyes were watering. The worst part was he never acknowledged it, just finished the segment with his hair all jacked up. Made me wonder if nobody in the control room has a mirror or if they all just gave up and decided to let it ride.

Wait, you used to think that was unprofessional? I always figured they'd cut away or fix it in post, but I guess live TV is just a different beast. This totally changed my mind, seeing how everyone just rolled with it and let the guy own his mistake.
