My buddy Mike swore by foam core inserts for years, I finally caved

Mike kept telling me to ditch the plastic organizers and make foam core inserts for my game boxes. Said it would save space and protect components better. I put it off for like 8 months but finally tried it on my copy of Arkham Horror. The guy was dead right. My cards fit snug now and setup takes half the time. Has anyone else had a friend hound them about a storage method that actually worked?

Mike sounds like a hero in disguise, honestly. Ive been on the receiving end of that kind of persistence before, and it's annoying at first but then you realize they just wanted you to have a better time. The Gloomhaven foam core job is no joke either, that game is a beast and having a tidy box makes a huge difference. I bet you feel like a genius every time you pop that lid off now. It's nice when a friend's nagging actually pays off, even if you have to eat a little crow. Did your Dave ever stalk you with links to table toppers like mine did?

Oh man, Mike sounds like my buddy Dave who wouldn't shut up about getting a game topper for my table. I finally gave in and now I can't stop telling everyone about it, lol. The foam core thing is legit though, I did it for Gloomhaven after watching like 10 YouTube tutorials and now I feel like a storage wizard every time I open the box. Just don't tell Mike he was right unless you want him to lord it over you forever.

Wait, wait, wait. You watched TEN YouTube tutorials for Gloomhaven foam core? I thought I was dedicated when I sat through three for my Twilight Imperium box, but ten is like a whole different level of obsession. Did you have to learn a new origami technique or something? I swear, those tutorials start with "just measure twice" and then next thing you know they're carving out little custom trays for the damage tokens like it's a surgical procedure.
