My friend's copy of Gloomhaven finally gave up after 150 hours, and the board split right down the middle during our final boss fight.

We had to pause the game for 40 minutes while I super-glued the thing back together, but has anyone else had a major component fail right at the worst possible moment?

Man, that's rough. We had a player board in Scythe crack during a really tight endgame. I just used some strong wood glue and clamped it overnight with a couple of heavy books. It actually held up better than before, lol. The worst part was trying to remember all the resource cubes that went flying.

Is a board game really worth getting that mad over? It's just cardboard and plastic pieces, not like your car broke down. People take these games way too seriously sometimes. Gloomhaven will still be there tomorrow, you can just set it up again.
