Warning: That fancy $200 board game insert I bought was a total waste

I spent $200 on a custom wooden insert for my copy of Gloomhaven, thinking it would speed up setup and save my sanity. Instead, the pieces barely fit right and I ended up snapping a divider trying to force it closed on Tuesday night. Has anyone else had a bad experience with those pricey organizers, or did I just pick a dud brand?

Bought a $10 plastic organizer from Amazon and it fits perfectly with no issues.

My $15 shelf liner set from Target was the same way, I figured it would be off by an inch but it snapped into place like it was made for that exact shelf. Sometimes you just get lucky with the cheap stuff.

Are you telling me a ten dollar organizer actually fits without any fussing or modifying? Because in my experience, nothing that cheap ever lines up with what you measured - there's always some gap or it's slightly too wide. I've been burned so many times by "universal fit" stuff that I pretty much expect to return half of what I order online these days. How long did you spend measuring before you pulled the trigger on that thing? I swear I've spent hours with a tape measure only to find the stupid thing still doesn't sit right. Sounds like you got lucky with that one, I'm genuinely surprised it worked out that smooth for ten bucks.
