Had the worst week of my career when three boilers blew their tubes on the same shift at the Omaha plant

It started Monday with a 6-inch tube leak on the number 2 boiler, then Tuesday the water drum cracked on number 4, and by Wednesday the superheater on number 3 let go, and I ended up working 72 hours straight patching them all, has anyone else had a stretch like that where everything just fell apart at once?

Dude, 72 hours straight is insane, did you even have time to eat or sleep at all during that stretch? Also, were those boilers all the same age or model, or is it just bad luck that they all failed within days of each other?

Used to think companies just said stuff like this to sound tough, but hearing about 72 hour shifts without major mistakes actually changes my view. Maybe some industries really push people that hard when everything hits the fan at once. Still wild to think someone can stay awake that long and keep working safely though.

72 hours straight? That's terrifying, man.
