Still can't believe my book club argued for 45 minutes about whether ebook readers count as 'real reading'
Everyone with a Kindle got defensive while the rest of us just wanted to talk about the actual plot. Has anyone else had a debate like this that totally killed the momentum?

Oh the whole "real reading" debate is such a trap. I'm team "who cares how you read as long as you read" but honestly a 45 minute argument sounds like the fastest way to make me want to throw my book across the room. You guys probably could have solved a whole murder mystery in that time instead.

Yeah the "who cares how you read" part hits the nail on the head. People get so hung up on audiobooks vs physical vs screens when really it's all just consuming a story. Reminds me of how folks argue over the "right" way to do everything nowadays. Like how you've got people who swear you have to wake up at 5am to be productive or you're a failure. Or how some guys think using a power tool instead of doing it by hand is cheating. To be honest if you finished the book and got something out of it then congrats you're a reader. Doesn't matter if you used your eyes, your ears, or had someone whisper it to you.
