PSA: Spent 6 hours trying to figure out if a 'customer' was a bot or a real person.
They kept saying 'I am human' and nothing else except booking requests. Finally reverse image searched their profile pic and it was from a stock photo site. Has anyone else had to waste a whole workday on this kind of thing?

Wait, you thought those "I am human" replies were legit before? lol I used to be way more trusting and just figured people were weird over text. But honestly this post kinda changed my mind on the whole thing. I had a similar situation where someone kept repeating "yes please book me" no matter what I asked them, and I spent a dumb amount of time trying to help them until I realized their email was like "jennifersmith2024" with a stock photo too. It's crazy how simple the signs are once you actually look for them, but it's easy to brush it off as just awkward human behavior when you're busy. Now I just check profile pics right away and save myself the headache.

Right, but what made you finally stop and question it though? Was there one specific thing that clicked, or did it just slowly dawn on you? I feel like it's hard to admit you got duped, so lots of people just keep going. Also, good call on checking the profile pic right away - I started doing that too and it saves so much time.

Ran a landscaping estimate once and the client kept saying "green grass please" every time I asked about anything.
