Shoutout to the guy who told me not to buy that $40 orchid from the grocery store

I ignored him and bought it anyway, and the roots were all rotten inside the pot... lost the whole thing in 3 weeks. Has anyone else had bad luck with those big box store orchids?

oh man that's rough, i feel your pain. i mean @matthew371 is right though, grocery store orchids are basically a gamble. i've learned the hard way to check the roots before buying anything now.

Ha, that sucks. I've killed more grocery store orchids than I'd care to admit, guess I'm just a pro at raising the dead in reverse.
