Finally caved and bought a $6 bag of dried beans after years of only using canned

Always thought dried beans were too much hassle, but after last week's grocery bill hit $85 for just basics I figured I'd try them. Soaked them overnight and cooked them up and got like triple the amount for the same price as one can. Has anyone else made the switch and found other canned stuff that's just as easy to replace?

Honestly, yeah, once you get the hang of dried beans canned stuff feels like such a waste of money. I switched to dried chickpeas and now I just make a big batch of hummus for the week, way better than store bought.

Dried lentils cook faster than beans and need no soaking, same price break.

Just kidding, I still forget to soak them half the time and panic-order pizza.
