The $1.25 produce cart at my local market in Fresno changed how I plan meals
I used to write my grocery list on Sunday and buy everything at the big store, thinking that was the cheapest way to go. Last Tuesday I stopped by a little produce stand on Blackstone Ave near my job site because I forgot a cucumber, and the guy had a cart out front with bags of squash and peppers for $1.25 each. Turns out I'd been paying almost $4 for the same stuff two miles away, mostly because I never bothered to look anywhere but one store. Now I swing by there before I even make the list, and my food bill dropped about $60 last month. Anyone else got a spot like this near them, or is it just a Fresno thing?
