I logged every cent for 6 months in 2022 and saved $400 but spent 20 hours on spreadsheets. Last month I just eyeballed my budget and ended up $50 ahead with zero stress - which method really wins in the long run here?

I get what you're saying @elliot_roberts but for some of us $50 is a decent chunk of change, especially if you're on a tight budget. Sometimes it's less about the actual amount and more about the principle of not wasting money. A little thought upfront can save you from regretting a purchase later.
