My closet cleanup is a mess without my bullet journal!

How do you guys lay out pages for big decluttering projects? I need a system to stay on track!

My own closet system last year had a color coded spreadsheet that tracked how many times I wore each flannel shirt. I got so deep into logging the data that I never actually got rid of anything. Maybe the clipboard and three bags is the smarter move, you know?

I actually did my whole closet overhaul last month without any fancy journal. I just grabbed a clipboard and wrote "keep, donate, trash" at the top of a page. I sorted everything into three big paper bags first, then wrote down the final counts afterwards. The physical act of sorting before tracking kept me from getting stuck planning.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. Last spring I tried making a whole detailed list of every clothing category before I touched a single hanger. I spent like an hour just writing "t-shirts: casual, workout, sleep" and then totally lost my nerve to actually get rid of stuff. Ended up putting everything back. Your method of just diving in with the bags sounds way more useful. Getting the stuff out of your hands and into a bag makes the choice real, you know? I'm gonna try that next time.

Honestly that "lost my nerve" part hits home. I've done that exact same thing where planning becomes a way to avoid actually doing the scary part. Tbh just getting it into bags first sounds way less painful.

Stick with the basic clipboard method but try colored sticky notes for each category. I wrote keep/donate/trash on three different notes and stuck them to the bags as I sorted. Seeing the bright colors helped me make faster choices without overthinking each item.
