Took me 6 hours to set up a simple habit tracker
I spent an entire Sunday afternoon drawing boxes and coding symbols for a monthly habit tracker that ended up being too complicated to actually use. After two weeks of trying to maintain 12 different habits, I realized I only really needed the 3 that mattered. Did anyone else take way too long designing a system before figuring out what actually works?

Ha! Classic over-engineering trap. Real talk: the whole point of a habit tracker is to make life easier, not a second job. I bet you spent more time making the tracker than actually doing the habits.

Read something the other day about how people who obsess over the "perfect" habit tracker usually quit after like 2 weeks anyway. The best ones are literally just a notebook with dates and checkboxes lol. Overcomplicating it just gives your brain an excuse to procrastinate instead of actually doing the thing. Keep it stupid simple is my motto for anything like this.
