Had to choose between a CLA kit from eBay or a proper repair bench setup

Went with the proper bench setup after ruining a Yashica-Mat with a $15 eBay kit last month, anyone else burned by cheap cleaning tools?

Is it really ruined though or did you just give it some "character"? There's a difference between a botched CLA and a camera that still takes photos lol.
