My view on shutter spring lubrication did a 180 this week
I used to skip it to save time. Then a camera came back with unreliable shutter speeds. A tiny drop of oil fixed it for good.

My garage door started making this awful screech last month. I kept putting off fixing it until the chain nearly seized up. That camera shutter story hits home... we ignore the tiny maintenance things until they become big, expensive problems. Like how I never check my bike tire pressure until I get a flat a mile from home.

Honestly my car's engine light came on six months ago and I just kept driving. Tbh by the time I took it in, what was a sensor fix turned into a whole thing with the catalytic converter. Ngl the bill still hurts.

There's this weird habit we all have where we ignore tiny warnings until they blow up in our faces. Like how I'll see a crack in my phone screen and just live with it until the whole thing shatters during a drop. It's the same with car stuff, where a simple check engine light turns into a nightmare repair bill. We always think we're saving time by putting it off, but it always costs more later, lol.
