Watch out for the new Fujifilm X-T5 shutter assembly
Had a unit in last week from a client in Portland, and the shutter curtain jammed during a routine cleaning. It wasn't a simple fix like the older models. I had to source a whole new curtain unit, part number 8A01-0000-000, and it took three days to get it shipped. Anyone else run into this yet, or know a better workaround?

That part number you listed is already on backorder at my usual supplier.

Have you tried calling the smaller repair shops? I mean, the big suppliers always run out first. I had to get a part for my old camera last year and my usual place was out for weeks. I found this tiny shop two towns over that had it in stock. It's a pain, but sometimes they have stuff the bigger guys don't.

My old X-T3 shutter was pretty easy to swap out, so I figured the newer models would be the same. I mean, it's just a shutter, right? But seeing that part number and hearing about the three day wait for a whole new unit is a real eye opener. It sounds like they've made it way more complicated to fix on purpose. I guess I used to trust that these things were built to be repaired, but maybe that's not the case anymore.
