Spent $80 on a 'waterproof' tent that leaked like a sieve in a drizzle
That cheapo tent from the big box store looked fine on the rack but after one night of light rain I woke up in a puddle. Anyone else fall for those cut-rate tents and learn the hard way to just save up for something decent?

Same exact thing happened with mine, soaked through on the first use.

Right, the "totally waterproof" tent that's really just a colander with poles. I swear they test those things in a desert and call it good. Next time just buy a tarp and some rope, at least you know what you're getting into. Nothing like waking up in a puddle to make you feel real smart about saving thirty bucks. Hope you have a fan and a lot of patience for drying everything out.
