Appreciation post: That moment a YouTuber actually came back with a real apology

I've been following this one creator for years, and after they got called out for some old tweets, their first apology was just a bunch of PR jargon. Then last week they posted a 15 minute video breaking down exactly what they did wrong and how they plan to change, even naming the specific charity they're donating $2,000 to. Has anyone else seen a public figure actually turn their apology around like that?

That 15 minute video format where they actually break down each thing they messed up is so much better than the usual PR statement. Good on them for actually following through with a real donation too.

Even the donation part got me. Like, a real check for a decent amount and not just a 'we'll match employee donations' PR promise. That's wild. Did they actually say how much they gave or is that still TBD?
