I counted 47 apology videos from influencers this year

I was watching a video about a makeup artist who got called out for old tweets and it made me curious. I went back and actually counted all the big apology posts I've seen on my feed since January. It was 47, which is way more than I thought. They all use the same sad music and talk about 'growth' but half of them never mention what they actually did. Has anyone else noticed if the apologies are getting longer but saying less?

That "production trick" point from @noahgreen is spot on. My own apology video for eating my roommate's leftovers would just be me in a dark room with a single dramatic tear. They put more work into the mood lighting than the actual change. Are we just supposed to feel bad for them now?

The apology is just another part of their brand now. It's a script they follow when they get caught, not something real. All that sad music and talk about a journey is just noise. They want the good feelings without doing the hard work of change. At this point, seeing one just makes me scroll faster.

Do you think the music and lighting are picked to make us feel sorry for them before they even speak? It seems like a production trick to skip the hard part of actually owning up.
