Had a really rough Monday with a project pitch that went sideways

So, last Monday, I was supposed to lead a pitch for a new client in Austin. I had prepped for like two weeks, had all my slides ready, and felt pretty good. Then, ten minutes before the Zoom call, my main computer just crashed and wouldn't restart. I had to scramble to get my backup laptop set up, but the file versions were old and I was missing the new budget numbers. The whole call felt messy and disjointed, and you could tell the client was not impressed. We haven't heard back from them, and my manager said it was a 'missed opportunity.' It just threw my whole week off. Has anyone else had a tech disaster totally wreck a big work moment? How do you bounce back from that kind of day?

Always save your final deck to the cloud right before the call.

Wait, you only save it right before the call?

Yeah, saving right before the call is the only way. I send a cloud link to myself and the client as the meeting starts now.
